Hi, everyone! We are already in another transition season with summer coming sooo soon…craziness! It is definitely time for wardrobe refreshes! If you’ve been following me for more than a couple of days (lol), you probably know by now that Nordstrom is one of my go-to retailers. Whether I am needing to get back to basics or stay up with the trends, they are often my first (and last!) stop. They seriously have the best selection of on-trend pieces for every budget. I love that I can find both pieces that are more trendy and seasonal as well as high-end, investment-worthy pieces that will last me through the years. Nordstrom is constantly curating their selection so that it’s diverse and relevant all at the same time. Every season, they’re on top of it!
Structured miniskirts have made their big comeback and I am all about it. This is one of the easiest ways to add some edgy-femme vibes to any look. I think of it as a step up from shorts, but not quite as elevated as a leather skirt. Camo is one of the few prints I will always love, and I think it is so cool on distinctly feminine pieces like skirts. This one is sooo good. Nordstrom has tons of those mix-and-match types of styles that are so in right now.
I really like the idea of pairing trendy statement pieces with more classic, sophisticated ones (that are still on-trend, of course!). This top is sooo pretty. It is actually a cowl neck silhouette but it is drapey enough to be worn off-the-shoulder look – speaking of trends, I love that showing some shoulder is always chic. I keep coming back to it these days! It is flattering with a loose knot tied at the waist to add some definition and draw attention to the structure of the skirt. It kicks things up a notch and feels date night ready yet easygoing and effortless. I threw on some shiny patent leather booties (similars here) to give the outfit a pop – I think it makes the skirt stand out even more!
These are such versatile pieces…they align with both my personal style and the current trends and I know I’ll be able to wear them for more than just one season.
Thanks for visiting! xx Erica
