Hey, friends! I’m back from a great weekend in Dallas and ready to jump into a busy and fun spring season. Spring has (technically) sprung and although the weather in San Diego is still all over the place, I don’t want to wait to wear warm weather pieces, so I snagged this military-inspired skirt that I’m loving. Miniskirts are making their comeback and I’m all about it! The utilitarian look has always won me over, but I especially love it in a skirt – it’s the perfect balance of femininity and that cool-girl, tomboy look.
To soften up the edginess, I found this super comfy twist tee that tucks in perfectly and adds a casual touch. It’s a great layering tee and it goes with everything. It’s got the right amount of distressing going on to add dimension. I wanted to chic it up a notch so I threw on my favorite blazer (similar here) and it adds great texture and structure. I love the contrast between the over-sized blazer paired with a short skirt.
And who doesn’t love peep-toe booties for spring? This style makes for easy transitions from day to night. I found this awesome pair (so comfy!) that I am pretty sure I could wear every single day. They’re comfortable enough to walk around in but they do the trick if you need something to elevate a casual look.
