Laced Up in Leather

Hi, everyone! It’s been a whirlwind around here, but I’m back from New York and getting into a normal routine again…well, as normal as things look in my world! I don’t know about you guys, but finding my groove after being out of town is always a challenge. Nothing a cappuccino (or three) can’t fix 😉

This is one look I have been so excited to share with you guys, especially in light of my recent trip! I had the incredible opportunity to spend some time with the fabulous Marissa Webb, who many of you know is my biggest style inspirations and all out more importantly, an amazing person.  Her strength, passion, and talent shines through in everything she does. There are exciting things happening with her – more to come on that later 🙂

For today, I want to focus on a piece from her label that I just cannot get over. Seriously – I’ve been fawning over them. It was love at first sight! You all know how much I love statement leather – well, this piece takes it to a whole new level. These. Pants. I don’t even have the right words! They are a combination of so many of my favorite things: leather, lace-up details, and a flattering high-waisted fit. They are striking, for sure, but they are also surprisingly versatile! I found that I had a difficult time narrowing down how to style them because there are so many ways to wear them. They’ll elevate anything you pair them with!

The lace-ups add structure, balance, and edge, and the cropped hem is perfect for now!  Paired with a classic pair of pumps, they are make an edgy, utilitarian-chic statement. I softened them up a bit this time with a sweater that drapes oh-so-well (to show off those waist-flattering lace-ups) and a feminine camisole. These pants are girls’ night out and date night approved and the washed leather makes dressing them down effortless! This is an investment piece that will definitely keep up they’re rotation in your closet…I promise you’ll keep finding new ways to style them!
