Effortless Edge

how to style mini skirt

Hi, everyone! Hopefully everyone is enjoying their weekend! Today’s look is a favorite of mine because it’s made up of pieces that are all super versatile and easy to transition. Fall schedules pick up quite a bit, which means you might be bouncing from errands to lunch dates to meetings to drinks after work or even a weeknight concert – this look pretty much covers it all!

I’m all about easing into the cozy sweater look we all love for fall while keeping things playful and edgy and never too bulky. This sweater is seriously the best! It feels like your favorite big lounge tee but you can actually wear it out. The off the shoulder look is staying hot through the fall. I love the way it adds a laid-back feel to this awesome faux leather skirt, which is one of my favorite pieces lately! It’s a fun and different way to add that rocker-chic vibe to your look without totally breaking the bank. You get the best of both worlds with this one – it’s affordable and top-notch quality, which leads me to my favorite part of the skirt: the attached belt. It totally still adds that 90’s grunge punch without the hassle of re-adjusting.

And of course, what we’ve all been waiting to break out – the booties! This style is one of the best staples for fall and winter because they can be paired with so many different looks. These suede stunners tie together the whole outfit by complementing the softness of the sweater and balancing out the edginess of the skirt. They are reminiscent of the classic “chelsea” style boots we all love, but with a sharp twist. The heels are just the right height to stay practical, and who doesn’t love the way the shorter skirt length and heel makes your legs feel a million miles long? This look will be sure to give you that umph during the seasonal slouch!

I’m wearing an xs – it runs very oversized. I would suggest trying your usual size. xx Erica

Absolutely love this look! The slouchy sweater is amazing and the skirt is one of my favs since it has an edge to it. The best part is that this look is so affordable too. Those Acne boots are amazing and look pretty bearable to wear and walk for a few hours. Thanks for always inspiring with all of your looks and beautifully edited photos! xoxo, Christine
