Hi friends! Today’s post veers away from clothing style and focuses on something just as important, beauty. Having glowing skin and fresh makeup can do exactly the same thing as putting on your favorite pieces – it can give you confidence and make you feel great. I am a die hard beauty junkie. I am constantly trying the latest products in search of products that actually make a difference in my skin. I am big into achieving glowing skin and fresh makeup that brings out natural beauty. Below are some of my favorite products that I find are worth the splurge.
Let’s start with skin, the first step in looking radiant is actually having glowing skin. I tried this gorgeous gilded face mask from Oribe a few months ago and I’m hooked. That’s right, there is real gold in it. I usually apply it the day after I use my tried and true, can’t live without, Exfolikate intensive exfoliating treatment. This helps prep skin for this gold treatment. The mask is very hydrating, plumping and leaves skin more luminous than you can imagine. When I want to create a more intense glow, I just wipe off with a lightly damp cloth instead of intensely rinsing. Since the price tag is high I reserve it for special events.
I have a love/hate relationship with 3Lab products. I love them because they are the very best I’ve found, but the price tag is crazy high. I’ve tried to quit these products several times, but I keep coming back. I’ve used several of their products and I absolutely love them all. The Perfect C Eye Treatment is a great moisturizer that lasts and brightens. I have a serious obsession with keeping my skin super hydrated and 3Lab products are amazing for locking in moisture. I also have a major love affair with their Moisturizer – they are all very thick (in warmer weather I will use it just at night or mix it with a lighter moisturizer). These products contain youth-boosting stem cells that do wonders for the skin.
With full, long lashes being all the rage and not wanting to get extensions continuously (I tried them and hated them). I wanted to be able to achieve the same look with my natural lashes. I met a friend for lunch one day and her lashes were insane and she told me she was using Rodan & Fields Lash Boost. I needed to try it for myself and sure enough, my lashes grew like crazy. I turned my girlfriend onto this product after she saw my results. The key is to use it consistently otherwise your long lashes will fall out and your normal lashes will return quickly.
Having nice nails is part of my job since they are photographed all the time. I usually have a gel manicure, but in between I really love using Christian Louboutin Nail Polishes. I find the polish lasts pretty well and I am in absolute love with the colors; the nude collection is amazing! If you are like me and are a sucker for gorgeous packaging that you can also display on your vanity these polishes are eye-catching amazingness!
Lorac Pro Conceal/Contour has become a favorite. I love this creamy, easily blending formula and I appreciate the array of color options – try mixing colors to achieve the perfect custom color.
This Tom Ford Palette is by far my biggest splurge on a makeup product. I was binge watching YouTube makeup videos and an artist used this palette and she gave it an amazing review. I loved the way her makeup looked so I decided to give it a shot. I am so glad I did! I’ve never had a palette where I use every single color, but with this one I do! It contains four eyeshadow colors, a gorgeous pinkish/peach blush and an incredible highlighter. It comes in both a warm and cool tone palette. I am hooked on the warm palette for a summer-kissed look.
I usually opt for cream blushes verses powder because I love a dewy looking cheek. After trying so many cream blushes, I decided to give La Prairie a chance. I was hesitant to order it at first because of the price tag, but in my opinion it is worth the splurge. The creamy texture and the ability to blend is second to none. It literally just melts into the skin, giving a glow-from-within look. It comes in a few colors, but I personally love the Peach Glow color to compliment my warm coloring and use it on the daily.
Last but not least, is the Lancôme Juicy Shaker Lip Oil. I am super picky on what goes on my lips and don’t wear lipstick very often because I don’t like anything heavy or sticky on my lips. I need my lips to feel super hydrated and the combination of five different oils including peach, apricot, sweet almond, cranberry, and rose oil does exactly that. The consistency is light and it smells amazing. My favorite color is the Freedom of Peach for a light peach tint of color. Try them, I guarantee you will be hooked!
