It’s no secret that I have a serious weakness for great denim. I wear jeans almost everyday – they are my number one wardrobe staple that I just can’t get enough of. I am always on the lookout for amazing denim. During the warmer seasons I think light wash denim feels particularly fresh, but it is challenging to find a pair that is flattering. One tip for a more flattering appearance when it comes to selecting a light wash or white jeans is to buy one size up. Buying a size up believe it or not will actually make the legs appear slimmer (and prevent that sausage leg look 😮 ) – so don’t get hung up on wearing a particular size – it’s only a number after all! Another secret to a more flattering look is to observe where the jean’s light and darker areas hit on the leg – it’s exactly like contouring for your legs! Look for the lightest area of the jeans to be in the middle and ombré darker as it gets to sides of the legs (as opposed to a pair with even color throughout). I am seriously in love with these Joe’s jeans from Nordstrom that I am wearing today. They call it their “flawless” fit and now I see why- they are sooo flattering! And did I mention they are ridiculously soft too? I don’t say this often about a piece, but these jeans really are a must for summer! And how cool is the ankle slit with frayed hem?
