Teaming pieces of opposite style/vibe is a great way to add interest because of the awesome contrast it creates. It is also a great way to balance very edgy or feminine pieces. Today’s look is centered around this beautiful top from Maggy London. Because the top is innately feminine and I wanted to bring a little edge to the overall look, I teamed it with cropped leather pants. Leather naturally gives off a tough vibe and feels a little dangerous, which is perfect for creating a dynamic outfit when paired with more feminine pieces. Ripped jeans or leather pants/skirts are my favorite bottoms to balance a pretty top, when I want to add a little toughness to a look. By pairing opposites, the outfit never feels too girly or too tough because both of these elements mix nicely together. This combination seamlessly creates a very harmonious look that is pleasing to the eye.

Hey Erica! What size did you take in this top? I’m usually an XS in most brands, but find that Maggy London runs small. The size S is quite snug, but maybe it’s supposed to be that way? I’m just afraid the M will be too loose around the sheer area, since I have a petite frame
